Pure sweetness.

I was able to take a picture of Nanny and the boys at my cousin's baby shower with her smiling. She doesn't like smiling for pictures much but I guess the boys bring out the best in her. It warms my heart that my boys have a special bond with my Nanny like I do. I am crazy about these three amigos and I just love this picture!!!!

Easter party at church

We had of first Easter block party at our church Saturday before Easter. They had hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, games, the Easter bunny, moon walker bouncers, a band, a Easter egg hunt, and a firetruck!!!!!! Walker and Aden had a blast with everything. Walker got to go in a moon walk for the first time and loved it but I don't know if it was because he could jump or flirt with the girls. He's a cutie and trust me Aden did his fare share of flirting with girls too. I guess they have already learned from the biggest flirt - their DAD!!

Captain Walker

Getting ready to hunt.
Hey what is this?
See all the eggs around him? Well he didn't pick up a one of them.
Aden started getting into it to show off for Ali behind him. If you notice Aden's outfit it is because that is Walker's first Easter outfit he wore.

Big Change in the Boone House

Well first I was going to blog about how Aden walked all around the house today like it was no big thing. Granted he only took about six to eight steps at a time but he was so proud. Walker and I kept cheering him on so he kept trying more steps. It is so cute to watch a big brother get so excited over his little brother's accomplishments. They are each others biggest fan.

They are starting to play better and better with each other and have also started wrestling. I thought they were a little to young but I can't stop them. You should see Aden when he body slams Walker then Walker puts him in a head lock kinda move. I guess boys will be boys.

Now for the BIG news are you ready? Drum roll please!!!.................

WALKER POOPED IN THE POTTY!!!!!!!!

Yes it is true and Josh didn't have to coach him into it.

Walker was getting out of the tub and told Josh "Don't dry my boodie Daddy"

Josh looked at him and said "Why do you have to poop?"

Walker: "Yes"

Josh: " Well sit on your potty"

Walker: " Okay"

After a few minutes of pushing Walker produced the biggest kids poopie I have ever seen!!

They called me in there to look so I had to run and get my camera to document this huge event which Walker was so proud. I gave him Tic-Tac as a treat!!

The things that will make a mommy proud. I love you boys more and more each day!!!

Rain Rain Go Away

Another rainy day in Georgia means another whinny day in Booneville. I try to wear them out inside but between our to do list of chores and cabin fever I am going nuts!! Thank goodness that mom got Walker the Easter Bunny coming to town movie or I would be bald now. Thanks Mom Walker LOVES the movie!!!!!

Aden did take some independent step this morning but right when he got to his fire truck he took a nose drive right into the fire truck and that was all he wrote on the walking. Last night I was trying to get him to come to me but instead of him walking or crawling he got on his hands and feet and walked that way. What a goofy boy but that's why I love him so much.

I finally got Walker and Aden signed up for preschool next year at our church. Walker will go three days(Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and Aden will go Thursdays. I am stocking up on tissues for the first day of Walker's school but I am excited at the same time. I will be able to get out and help Josh more which makes him excited.

Tomorrow we are suppose to meet with a realtor to put our old house on the market. I am bitter sweet about that but GLAD when I can close the book on that chapter of my life. It is only bitter sweet because that was my boys first house and the crazy sentimental personality of me is sad but the relief of not having to live there is so so much better. The boys love our new house.

That's all for me today but if I end up taking pictures I will post them later. I wish I had my camera charged earlier because Walker did do the sweetest thing to Aden this morning. Walker was laying down on the floor and Aden went over to him and crawled on top of him so Walker hugged him and rocked him. He was singing Rock a bye baby to him and Aden laid his head on Walker's chest. It was just priceless to see. I love my two monkeys!!!!

Great Soup

I tried this last week and loved it. I have never made soup before even though this is more like chili but Josh and I really liked it.
Taco Soup
2 lbs of lean ground beef
(I'm sure you can use ground turkey or chicken)
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can Ro-tel tomatoes with chilies
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing
1/2 cup of barley ( I didn't use this)
1 (16oz) can whole kernel corn
1 (16oz) can pinto beans
1 (16oz) can kidney beans
1 (16oz) can Bush's white hominy (it's near the corn)
1 can of cream corn
Do not drain any cans. Brown lean ground beef and drain; put into pot. Add the rest of the ingredients and 2 cups of water. More water may be added at any time to make the soup the way you like it. Cook in crock pot on HIGH for 1 hour. Cook on low 2 hours or more.
I cooked this on the stove on high for about 45 minutes and then on low for about 30 and it was very good!! We also put crushed corn chips on top with cheese and sour cream. Yummy!

I hope that you will try this and enjoy it as much as we did.

Bath Time with the Boys

My boys love their baths every night and can't go to bed without getting one.
