True Colors.

Aden's first strawberries
He LOVED them so much he even ate the green.
mmmm. more please.

You see this cute little sweet face? A face that could do no wrong. A face that never starts fights or hits his brother because after all he is the baby. Times have changed and I think the playing field is about even between the two brothers. What Aden lacks in strength and size he makes up for in brains and pure meanness. He will wait until Walker is not paying attention find some sort of weapon(golf clubs are usually his first choice) and go to town whacking Walker over and over again. It's a little funny to watch this take place because the look on both of their faces are priceless. Aden has a plain blank look on his face and Walker is in disbelief that his younger brother is beating the crap out of him. Don't get me wrong I don't sit there and watch this go on and on. This happens in a matter of minutes. Aden knows when to strike because I am usually putting clothes away when I start hearing the screams.
Yesterday we were at my Nannie's house and we got to witness the true younger brother colors of Aden. You see Walker usually gets in trouble for taking a toy away from Aden when he is playing with it. Well I was walking to the back porch behind Aden, (which he did not know I was behind him) and I watched him run straight to Walker and snatch the toy out of Walker's hand and start screaming bloody murder. He was trying to make it look like Walker started it all but I saw everything and so did Nannie. We both were laughing so hard that I didn't get a chance to correct the action that took place. That little booger has already figured it out!!! I know that I'm going to have my hands full for a very long time to come but it is so worth it. I LOVE the fact that they can talk to each other and figure stuff out together. They love to talk to each other in the car and if I turn it to up beat music they both dance to it. I love my little monkeys!!

Better late than never birthday pictures!!

Walker's 3rd Birthday

mmmm cake
Walker eating his cupcake and loving it!
I guess I take after my mom on trying to make birthdays special for my kids plus it keeps my mind off the fact that they are growing up fast. For Walker's birthday I decided at the last minute to get my mom and my friend Cheryl to meet us at Chuck -E-Cheese for a mini party. I lucked up because Josh was game on taking the day off to celebrate with us. Walker had a ball and so did Aden. We had the whole place to ourselves for the first hour. Thanks mom and Cheryl for making Walker's day even more special by being part of the fun.

After C-E-C we took the boys home for a nap. When they woke up we did our yearly birthday tradition. The birthday boy gets to pick out his present(which by the way takes forever!!) and he gets to pick where he wants to eat his birthday dinner. Last year it was McDonald's and this year Walker picked Cracker Barrel! I was glad for the upgrade. All in all I think Walker had a great birthday and I didn't even cry when they called out his name at Toys R Us like I did last year.

Funny Walker

I have a quick Walker story that has taught me a little lesson. Yesterday Josh, me, and the boys were getting ready to leave our house and I heard a huge bang then I heard Walker screaming outside. So I ran outside thinking Josh hit the house with my car and pinned Walker underneath. Once I opened the door I saw Josh holding Walker and I knew they were okay so I said out loud " What in the heck was that noise?" to Josh. So for the next 20 minutes or so Walker kept asking us "What in the heck is that making noises?" over and over again. Luckily we were on our way to a birthday party so it took his mind off the question. Oh and the noise was a transformer blew out across the street from us. Those things are LOUD when they blow.

Pure sweetness.

I was able to take a picture of Nanny and the boys at my cousin's baby shower with her smiling. She doesn't like smiling for pictures much but I guess the boys bring out the best in her. It warms my heart that my boys have a special bond with my Nanny like I do. I am crazy about these three amigos and I just love this picture!!!!
